Appearance: Obi-Wan is approximately 6'0" with reddish blond hair and blue eyes. He speaks with a soft accent that is typical of Inner Rim planets and is comparable to an English accent on Earth with a slight Scottish burr. He typically keeps his hair cut short and sports a full, but well-trimmed, beard. He will arrive wearing robes and tunic, as is typical for a Jedi, but having lived in another Earth-like village, will quickly adapt to wearing normal clothing.

Obi-Wan spent approximately six months at

hearts_andminds where he formed a close relationship with Galen Marek, whom he took on as an apprentice, and Marek's girlfriend, Claire Bennet. He mentored Marek in the ways of the Force up until his disappearance and at that time, went back to Tatooine to resume communing with the Force and preparing for Luke Skywalker to come of age.

He comes to

medietas_logs after having been back on Tatooine for the last six years.

Personality:

Obi-Wan is first and foremost bound by a sense of duty. While he could be hotheaded as a teenager and young adult, he was still driven by his commitment to the Jedi order and, ultimately, the Republic itself. This commitment, while positive, ends up being somewhat of a downfall as he clings to the vestiges of the master-padawan relationship even as his own padawan has defiled that relationship to the highest degree. Obi-Wan is very much a traditionalist and, in situations where he has to think outside of the box, he can flounder to sometimes-disastrous results.

Obi-Wan is also intelligent, using his wits as much as his lightsaber when battling an enemy. A strategic genius, he quickly moved up the ranks in the military because of his tactical and analytical approach to planning and carrying out large-scale battles and displays the ideal traits of a Jedi knight: cool, calm, intelligent and, above all, serene. Serenity under pressure is a highly-desired trait in a Jedi master and Obi-Wan has it in spades.

However, when not acting in an official capacity for the Republic, Obi-Wan does have a dry wit and a good sense of humor, enjoying quick quips and trading barbs with old friends and foes alike. He takes pleasure in needling his padawan, for example, and prior to Anakin’s fall, the two of them enjoyed a comfortable banter and a close friendship.

Since going into exile, Obi-Wan has mellowed out considerably. He has had to adapt from living and working among hundreds of thousands of Jedi to being one of the only ones left in the entire galaxy and he no longer feels the need to follow the rules of the Temple as strictly as he had in his younger days. He realizes that the Jedi Order had been deeply flawed, in some ways, and wants to correct those flaws in his training of any future apprentices; prior to coming to Medietas, Obi-Was has had the experience of training Galen Marek in another RP game under relaxed circumstances and considers Galen a success in a way that Anakin never was.

The loss of the Jedi Order does make it difficult for Obi-Wan to get close to anyone; Order 66 shattered the world as he knew it and severed Obi-Wan from his community, way of life and identity. However, considering that Claire Bennet is currently in residence, he will be comfortable with her and can use that relationship as a jumping off point for further CR.

Powers/Abilities/Talents:

Obi-Wan, through use of the Force, is a powerful telekinetic and able to lift objects several times his body weight. He also has enhanced reflexes and the ability to jump, twirl and spin utilizing additional Force push. He is quite accomplished in Jedi mind tricks, being able to influence and cloud the mind of other humanoids, and has some limited telepathy.

AU/CR AU Addendum: Obi-Wan is CR AU and while his personality has not changed from his core being, he does have a strong relationship with Claire Bennet that will resume upon his arrival to the islands. She will be one of the few people that he will confide in to begin with and he will take on the training of her Force-sensitive son.
